The snakes were supposed to destroy Mount Olympus and kill the gods, and each snake could shoot fire from its eyes. The gods had made Mother Earth angry by defeating the Titans who were her children and she decided to revenge by sending the snake-headed monster which was also known as Typhon. The god Aphrodite and her son Eros escaped by turning into fish. They tied a rope around their tails so that they would not be separated. The constellation Pisces came as a result of their plan working which resulted in the image of two fish tied together by rope to appear in the night sky. However, different cultures have a separate myth about the origin of the Pisces constellation. You can come across some cultures that consider the Pisces constellation to be a representation of the koi fish, a species of fish that is not distant from its own myths.
