Tattoo Parlor Owner Accused Of Drug Dealing

NEWARK, NJ – The owner of a downtown business has been charged with allegedly dealing drugs out of his establishment, according to court documents.
On Aug. 3, a confidential informant cooperating with the Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force allegedly purchased an “8-ball” of crack cocaine from William E. Rector, 35, at Sparky’s Tattoo, an arrest affidavit filed today states.
Rector, last known address 622 Evans St., Newark, is named as the owner of the South Third Street parlor in the case file. He was arrested at his business Friday.
Rector was charged with trafficking in crack cocaine, a fourth-degree felony that alleges the sale of between 1 and 5 grams of the drug. Licking County Municipal Court Judge David Branstool set his bond at $7,500.
