i have 4 tattoos i have never done ne more then just applying cent free lotion till all the skin peels off on its own. thats all u have to do.dont make it a big deal if its not. if u do peel it off u may have to touch it up in about 2 weeks.

I had a tattoo5 days ago on my arm on biceps. And I am washing it 3 times a day and then applying cream(suggested by artist) as i was suggested. Still i can see some part of the tattoo is not peeled off and i see greenish color fluid in some area. What is that? Some part is completely healed but that part color is looking very lighter. While when tattoo was fresh color was dark? So can you explain why colors are very light and why some greenish color fluid coming up?

okay so i just got my first tattoo two days ago, and it is still very red. is this normal? the tattoo is placed on the back of my leg and the artist told me to wear loose clothing and avoid wearing anything tight. i was also told to keep cling wrap on it, but i was never told how to properly care for it. i need help with some good advice to avoid infection. also how long does the oozing last? i am still very nervous about the information i was given by the artist is wasnt too specific.

the tattoos that I have had come out better if I use plastic wrap to keep them moist and not rubbed all day by clothes and everything else. but I use a and d ointment or auqaphor. I take it off every few hour clean it let it air dry then it back on till it seems healthy enough to be left out.

Hey guys,
I got my first tattoo done about six hours ago. I left the cling film on for two hours, washed it gently with soap and warm water, and put some bepanthon on it. I've been told to wrap it in clean cling film before i go to sleep tonight and to just apply bepanthon three times a day for the next five days.
Noticed that when i patted it dry with the towel, some ink was on the towel :/ is this normal? i don't want my tattoo to come off!!!
(it's an all black tat by the way..)

Using Bacitracin or any petroleum based item is VERY TOXIC and is 100x worse then the plastic wrap everyones talking about - research whats in those products and you'll find its not something you want on your body. I really dont understand why people use that stuff. A+D ointment is really bad too! It doesn't hurt or cause any noticeable damage but it does leave toxins in your body for a very long time!

You can buy natural ointments to help heal your tattoo just the same but without putting OIL all over your new open wound!

jennifer that is normal. it is how your body reacts to any cut or wound. it is just blood rushing to the wounded area. it will be normal in 1-2 days

i have t agree with "anon". plastic wrap is one of the worst things possible. it causes moister to build and the heat from your body makes it a PERFECT breeding ground for bacteria. Also there reason petroleum is bad on your tattoo is because it suffocates the tattoo and that causes small white bumps the appear. when the tattoo heals these bumps go away but the white is still there and makes the tattoo look poke doted.
