In hopes to broaden my own knowledge as well as providing even more relevant content here at Pounded Ink, I have added a forum to the site.

The forum contains several sections to discuss any form of body modification. There is even sections where you can upload pictures of your own modifications for the world to see.

Registration is free and only requires confirmation of your e-mail address to activate, so you can start posting right away.

In time I hope to build a strong helpful community devoted to every aspect of body modification. No procedure is too extreme to talk about.

On Tuesday, August 12th Howard inked his love for the lovely Beth O’ in flesh.  The tattoo is roughly a half an inch square Old English script letter “B” on Sterns left ring finger.  His fiance also got a tattoo of the letter “H” on the underside of her wrist.  Beth’s tattoo is slightly more discreet but larger than Howard’s tattoo.

The tattoo was applied by world renowned tattoo artist Shanghai Kate who flew in for the occasion and guested at a local New York tattoo shop.

On Wednesday Howard expressed his love for the new tattoo and even more love for his soon to be wife for imortalizing him with her first tattoo.  He commented, “I was like, ‘Wow, maybe she really does love me.’”

Kerry King – Anyone familiar with heavy metal music should know the name Kerry King. The super fast axe wielding lead guitarist of the band slayer is covered in ink. Kerry is one of the few people that have made a tribal design work for them with a huge sleeve that stretches from his finger tips all the way to his neck. His left arm is also covered in various demon tattoos and text that stretches from his arm pit to his wrist which says “God Hates Us All”. My favorite of Kerry’s tattoos is the demon tattoo, that seems to stare through you, on the back of his head. Kerry King appears to be a fan of black and grey work with an obvious demonic theme.

Masuimi Max – Print model and actress Masuimi Max is not only beautiful but beautifully inked. Masuimi has two large tattoos both oriental in theme. Her back-piece is a traditional oriental scene that includes a samurai and dragons. I especially love Masuimi’s arm tattoo. This is an example of oriental lettering done correctly, Masuimi has Japanese lettering that spell her name along with and outstanding dragon that is without an outline. All Masuimi Max’s tattoos show attention to detail as well as intricate design.

Rob Zombie – Singer/Director/Horror Aficionado Rob Zombie has an extensive amount of body art including two well designed sleeves. Rob is an obvious fan of color tattoos. His arms are covered in a mass of various demons and retro stylings that resemble the work of Rat Fink and show care and consideration in choice of artwork, some of which was designed by Zombie himself. Any fan of dark themed tattoos should be able to appreciate Rob’s ink.

Mia Tyler – Plus size model and daughter to Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler the lovely Mia has completed an intricate full-sleeve tattoo. Mia’s arm is covered with various fairies and nymphs. Her sleeve has elements from previous tattoos that have been worked into the design almost flawlessly. Mia has several other tattoos on various parts of her body but her full-sleeve tattoo is by far her best work to date.

Paul Wall – Paul Wall may be known for his famous grill but don’t let those shiny diamonds overshadow the intense black and grey script work Wall has put across both his arms. This is an excellent example of quality black and grey tattooing. The script work is very busy but doesn’t give the appearance of poor planing. Wall has two well designed sleeves that any tattoo fan should appreciate regardless of what type of music you listen to.

Let the berating begin! Here are the worst celebrity tattoos I could find in random order.

Pamela Anderson – America’s favorite fake titty celeb never fails when it comes to bad tattoo ideas. Pam has several bad tattoos. Does anyone out there think that the barbed wire tattoo around her arm was a statement, or just another empty headed decision from the woman who married Kid Rock. Not to be outdone the steamy Pam continued to get inked with bad ideas as she placed a poorly designed tribal inspired back piece that has no real form or function. And how could we forget her wedding band to rocker Tommy Lee that the lovely Pam recently changed to “Mommy”.

Johnny Depp – I wonder if they have better tattoo artist in France? I sure hope so for our favorite pirate who has no shortage of bad tattoos. It seems that Johnny gets tattooed anytime he gets drunk enough to make a bad decision. The heart on his left arm dates back to his 21 Jump Street days and has an obvious old school look. Most of his tattoos are badly faded and the Indian on his right arm is so poorly tattooed that it is hard to distinguish exactly what it is. My favorite tattoo mishap from Mr. Depp is the ribbon banner on his right arm that says “Wino Forever”. A laser job done to what originally said “Winona Forever”.

Amy Winehouse – Now for my favorite nut job. The heroin addicted singer needs to goto tattoo rehab before she destroys her entire flesh canvas. Many of her tattoos appear to have been done by a capable tattooist, but Vincent Van Gogh he is not. Amy has a thing for pinup style tattoos but someone needs to check her sobriety level when she signs off on the art for these train wrecks. I wonder what tattoo she will get to cover the needle tracks?

Mike Tyson – Perhaps bad tattoos inspire the rage that is Mike Tyson. He will “Eat your children” in all his poorly tattooed glory. The champ has several horrible portraits including a head resembling Arthur Ashe with lettering which spells “Days Of Grace” that looks like a 5th grader tattooed it. Tyson has several other poorly tattooed portraits including Mao Tsetung and Monica Turner. Not to be outdone Tyson crowned himself with a facial tattoo after wining a championship some years ago. A facial tattoo is not only a commitment, you need to think about design which Tyson obviously didn’t. I’m sure he just walked in and squealed “I wanna tattoo my face”. Get in the chair.

Mark Wahlberg – He might as well have tattooed “Marky Mark” on his chest for all the bad tattoo idea’s he has had. What could be more self centered than tattooing your own name on your arm? How about tattooing a fake necklace all the way down to your breast plate or a poorly done portrait of Bob Marley that looks more black than black and grey. I can’t wait for the “Funky Bunch” back piece.
