nikki,

I know people who travel over a thousand miles just to get tattooed.

Scarification, like any body modification, is permanent and well worth the research, time and expense it takes to get quality work.

I wish I had the pain tolerance to do something like this. Cause some of these look really awesome and pretty. But I don't think I could. My skin is so sensitive it won't let me do half the thing I wanna do to it :(
Well I'm going to get a tattoo soon hopefully so wish me and my skin luck

I think scarification is beautiful, like a tattoo; but to me, a lot more personal. I've had mine for 2 1/2 years now and am not regretting it at all. Its a significant memory, to remind me of all the amazing people I've came across in my life. It has meaning, therefore is much more special

What does this look like after 30 years? Tattoos start to look a bit sad, but anyone seen any pics of aged scarification?

I just have one quick question. Why is it that you would consider tongue splitting a medical procedure when done with a scalpel but not scarification?

It's true that people have been scaring their bodies for as long as humans have been around. I still don't see the point, but a nice bunny on my stomach would be cool! :o
