My buddy is a professional piercer at a local tattoo shop and he's been bugging me for months to try play piercing.  As you can tell this isn't permanent and was a little uncomfortable to say the least.

It was a fun experience but I'm not too excited to try it again.  The picutre shows the 20 - 18 gauge needles we used, clearly pierced through my forearm.  I've also got some scabs on my tattoo now which i hope won't remove color when they come off.

Damn dude, I like piercings, don't get me wrong but why would you want to pierce something just to take it out right away?  Is there something I'm missing here?

It's something to do.  I actually find it rather relaxing.  I have a high tolerance of pain so the actuall piercing of the needles doesnt bother me.

I know some girls get a corset done just for play because it looks really cool but it'd be a pain for corsets to heal completely.  So I can understand it from an aesthetic point of view.  Say you want to get it done for prom and then take it out later that night.  I mean it'd make for a memorable night and some really sweet pictures.

I never even thought of that.  A cool idea indeed. 

As for play piercings, I'd rather have something a little more permanent.

yeah if some one is going to stab me with a needle its going to be permanent i just don't see any reason to put that many needles in my body to take them out. but it is a cool thing to see pics of and i respect people that have a pain tolerance to do that sort of thing. especially the people that do suspensions with hooks in their backs
