I'm trying to get an idea of how long it will take me to finish a quarter sleeve tattoo if I decide to get one.

Is there a time difference between getting a color tattoo or black and grey?

I have two separate quarter sleeves, both full color pieces.  Each one took roughly 20-25 hours of tattooing to complete but that was spread into many sessions which took quite a while.

If you can sit for 5 hour sessions and get tattooed every month then you could theoretically get a quarter sleeve done in 5-6 months.  Most people don't sit that long, so you're probably looking at a solid year to finish a quarter sleeve.

Color takes longer then black and grey, but I would still bet on 15-20 hours for a quality black and grey quarter sleeve tattoo as well.

Any idea on what a complete quarter sleeve tattoo will cost?

The price for a quarter sleeve tattoo is going to vary depending on your location and selection of tattoo artist.  Every artist is going to have a different price schedule.

The best I can do is give you a rough estimate...

Lets say you can sit for 3 hour sessions at $200 a piece (this is just a rough estimate which could vary widely).  Your tattoo is going to take roughly 8 sessions to complete so you'd be looking at about $1600 to finish the piece.

Now if you can sit longer it won't take as many sessions but each session will probably be more expensive then a 3 hour session.

Generally I'd say you're looking at somewhere between $1000-$2500 to complete a quality quarter sleeve tattoo.

I have two individual one fourth fleshlight sleeves, both shade items.  Each one took approximately 20-25 hours of needling to complete but that was propagate into many classes which took quite a while.
