Members Photos / Other Pictures / Zygzag Impairs His Own Vison With His Mods
|
on: August 22, 2012, 07:19:36 AM
|
|
I found this today while browsing some body mod news.
Body modifications are increasing in popularity, but there are some cases that go wrong. Zygzag, also known as Fishmouth, had plates inserted into his cheeks, among his many other body mods.
It has appeared as though this extremist lost some of his vision and the function of his mouth when he removed the plates and attempted to sew his face back together.
If there is one lesson to be learned here, it is that not every body modifications lacks consequences.

I think your personality and drive will get you more work than your tattoos will prevent.
In the world of film and modeling you have to remember that tattoos can be covered rather easily.

Body Modification Talk / Piercing / Re: Can I remove my existing peircings and still stretch my ears?
|
on: August 06, 2012, 09:25:23 AM

I can't believe I missed this posts. I have one ear that has an extra hole next to my stretched piercing. Like Dixie Wrecked said, I never had an issue with it. It's still there and I can still put a paper clip through it if I want to, but at 1/2" plugs, the retaining lip covers the second hole. I thought about using something to make an abrasion on the front and back of the second hole to close it up, but my better judgement told me "If it ain't broke, dont fix it".

I just did an extensive google search for any type of modification that remotely resembles your idea. I can not find any of the like. So you will be one of the first if you go through with it. I would imagine this is a job for a cosmetic surgeon, and would come with a hefty price tag as well. Perhaps you should make a few calls and set up a consultation with a respected local plastic surgeon. Let us know what info you find out. This is incredibly interesting.

Body Modification Talk / Other Modifications / Re: Branding locations in my area

I agree that a good brander is hard to find. It is a specialized art and not just anyone can jump into it. It takes years of practice to perfect this specialized art.
Finding a local brander that is any good, may be next to impossible. Remember that your brand will be with you forever and pinching pennies is not the way to go. You may have to add a travel budget into your branding budget as well.

Body Modification Talk / Piercing / Re: nose piercing

As long as you are not allergic to silver, you should be fine. although i would be concerned about the quality of the silver. Silver does tarnish and poor quality silver can cause tarnish that is very bad for fresh piercings. When you first get a piercing you should stick with the standard jewelry that is offered. There is a reason why simplicity is beautiful at this stage.

It took me a little longer than expected, but here are the most recent tattoo pics. A lot of ink was pounded in this last session.
It's finally taking some shape but as back pieces go, it seems like nothing ever gets done. I just keep telling myself, "a year and a half and Ill be done". Im not sure that time schedule will hold true, it could easily be longer.

Body Modification Talk / Tattoos / Re: What Do You Think About Facial Tattoos?
|
on: July 12, 2012, 12:33:49 PM

I'm on a new body art conquer and was considering getting some little celebrities between my eye-brows and hair line. What do you people think about face tattoos? Should I not even be considering this?
I think that a facial tattoo is a very rough commitment. Weather you like it or not, it does carry a stigma in society and will affect your ability to get most jobs. Unless you are already covered in tattoos, i would work towards your face but only after you've exhausted the rest of your canvas, this will also give you some time to consider the commitment more. just my 2 cents..

I think something like that could be powered out in about 2 sessions.
Unless you want matching tattoos with someone, I would seriously consider getting a new tattoo designed specifically for you. Its always nice to have "one of a kind" art.
